Brush trucks built by people who fight wildfire.
Outback builds custom wildland brush trucks, rescue and command vehicles in Springville, Utah. Our sister company runs engines on federal fires, so every truck is laid out by crews who use one.

Our crews run engines on federal fires. That is where these trucks are drawn up.
Outback Fire Apparatus is the truck shop of the Outback family. Outback Firefighting, based in Stevensville, Montana, contracts with the US Forest Service to put engines, water and crews on large wildfires. What works on the line goes into the next truck we build.

General notes for every Outback truck
The short version of why departments choose us over the bigger builders.
Laid out by fire crews
Compartments, pump controls and hose sit where a wildland crew reaches for them, because our own crews run these jobs every season.
Built to your spec, not a catalog
Every truck starts from one of seven models and changes to fit your terrain, your tools and how many ride.
In service sooner
We move faster than the large builders. Ask about current timing, or see trucks we have available now.
More truck for the budget
Better pricing than the big names, with the same parts and a shop that answers the phone.
Build it, and watch it take shape.
Pick a model and choose from the options that fit it. The 3D truck changes with every choice: bumper, tires, tank, reels, doors, lights and paint.
